Each year, October is recognized in the US as Pregnancy and Infant Loss awareness month. Sadly, the statistic is 1-in-4 women has or will experience this type of loss over the course of her lifetime. And her partner is impacted by the loss, too. At the October Angel Baby Network meeting, LaShanda Sugg, a certified trauma counselor and owner of Labors of Love Counseling and Consulting, LLC, joined our group. She shared information about how the brain and body respond to increased stress and she shared tips on how to care for one’s mind and body.
