We wanted to do something special for our October 2018 meeting so this year in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. In honor of the month, we decided to host a balloon release to honor our children and other families who had experienced child loss. We used biodegradable balloons and ribbon so that we wouldn’t harm the environment in our tribute and we wrote sweet messages of love on the balloons as we sent them off. We also did an activity led by licensed counselor, Eric Hollie, MSW, LISW-S that focused on expressing our thoughts through writing poems. We’ll see everyone again in December!
